I'm waving the BS flag! 90, 90 with only cams is a little bit "off the chart"!

Is it? One of the techs at the local indy's shop has an 88ci RK. Just pipes, ac, cams and tune. Hes hitting high 80's. And thats running Rinefart true duals.
For comparison, on my 04 road king, having the heads worked over and cylinders bored on top stage 1 and cams. Im up around 110/110. Power comes on earlier and hangs on later.
Swapping out the jugs & pistons is easy work if you have the heads off. Might as well go all the way. You'll be much happier if you do. My road glide has an S&S 510 cam no head work and no big bore. It runs out of steam way too early for me.
I put the andrews 37 cams in and the PC III at the same time and made a big change. Was so impressed I backed out on the big bore kit for now. I would still like to find out what is making a chirping/pinging sound in the back jug exhaust. Planning on pulling heads this winter to see what we can find. Hopefully something will show wear where it may have been making this noise. It is slowly getting louder. 39,000 miles and still runs strong and does not make the sound when you are getting into the throttle.
Don't know if this is the same but I have a 05 ultra 88 and did 26G cams and port polish heads. Had some chirping at slow speeds not at h-way speeds, found that the rear muffler suspention was my culprit. I guess with the different idle with cams the vibration is different. Put rubber spacer in chirp go away.

My response was going to be, "Don't p___ down my leg and tell me it's raining", but I have changed it to, "Dude, you're smokin' some good s___, enjoy".

Would you care to elaborate, are you saying the guy I knows #'s are bs, or mine are? If you find either of those #'s hard to believe, perhaps its time to find yourself a new mechanic....

Numbers of 90 & 90 are way to high for no head work and a 510 cam, which is
not a big improvement over the stock cam.
If your friend is running a 37g cam his numbers would be better but still
not what you're claiming, without head work or high comp pistons.
Get my numbers from R&R Motors, Manchester N.H.

Hes not my friend so I dont remember which cam he used, it was an andrews though. Was looking through the indy's "book of dyno sheets" while I was contemplating my build, and remember his. He had a stage 1 which netted like 70something horsepower and 80 ftlbs I think. Then with the andrews cams, took him up to high 80's. No headwork, no high compression pistons. Im only claiming what I saw with my own eyes, which was a corrected dyno sheet for his bike showing high 80's. And my own sheet for my road king almost hitting 110. Perhaps you should call up Reggie and see what he has to say about that. Just in case Im making this all up.
Both sets of numbers you posted as well as the stock 88 getting 90/90 are well outside reality. Credability? Keep on tokin'

Maybe I should use my dyno sheet for a rolling paper?
There is more here, had I used a high lift cam and bigger throttle body. As it was, I went with a bolt in cam and reused the stock tb. It runs great, so Im not concerned with the low #s. Apparently #'s like these are outside of your reality. Like I said, maybe time for you to start looking for a new mechanic.
Also, didnt see anyone say their bone stock 88 made 90 ftlbs, but if they did. I agree that is bs.
