Default Backfire Pop

Bought this 06 road glide, in july had 5,000 miles on it looks brand new, rides great.
This my first harley and i nothing about it . Some times on decel it will Pop Loud ! like a shotgun. One time.
The dealer told me it has a " EFI Race Tuner kit and a 1584 ST1 EFI Muffler Kit, It also has Rinehart pipes.
Do i need a lap top? or do i need to take it some place? How can i stop it Poping?

Find a competent tune tech that can handle the SERT. Could be a tough task since they are few and far between but you may be fortunate enough to have one close by. Otherwise contact Jaime at Fuel Moto - www.fuelmotousa.com and get a PC V.

My 06 Ultra decel popped like mad had V&H true duals S&E breather V&H ovals and V&H fuel pac struggled with it gor three years worked with the fuel pac & V&H to no avail. Bpought a PClll mapped from eaastern Performance and all is well no more pop and more HP & Torque. Most likley your running too lean. Of course you have to eliminate any exhast leaks as well espesially at the heads gaskets are often the culprits.

It's one of two issues:

1. You have a exhaust leak someplace.
2. Your map is set too lean at closed throttle position.

Best to take it to a competent tech to have it checked. SERT is not something you want to mess with unless you're really comfortable with it.

Easiest thing to check is look for an exhaust leak. It is usually at the joint where muffler meets pipe. Remove muffler and apply silicon to the joint and replace muffler.

On my Honda it was running too lean... gave the rear head some more fuel and the pop went away...
