I've read the entire stickey and is the reason for my question. When looking at the biketronics control box in the pic I couldn't see where it attached to the head unit and assumed it worked off the IR like a remote control.
Im also not doing amps right now cause of the interference with the AM site of the radio. I listen to alot of ESPN Radio and can't afford the Sirius upgrade yet.
Im pretty much replacing my entire system with what I sold my factory stuff for. Dont think I can pass that deal up.
Just spoke with the folks at biketronics about a week ago....fyi they were telling me they have another mounting kit available that allows you to install other radios instead of Sony. Cost is about twenty bucks more than the other setup and they don't have it on their website currently. Don't know too much about it but just wanted to throw it out there incase anybody is looking

That is good to know. There plug and play kit is great. I just don't care much for the Sony Radios.
