Default What to do with an Evo??

Ok, I have a '94 Ultra, the bike has the Stage 1 upgrade. However it still seems doggish...

What do you guys think I should do with this bike??

Would just a cam do it??

What other choices do I have??

Thanks in advance!

There are many things you can do to improve the performance of an EVO. How much you want to spend and what you want out of it will make a difference. You can do a low cost build and improve the performance. Port the heads (Big Boyz, I'm biased) for $299. Then deck the cylinders to obtain a better quench, bore and hone if needed. Mill the heads to bump the compression. Change the cam. If you do the labor you could do this for around $1000. If you want to take it to the next level, add S&S stroker flywheels and bump it to 88". Of course carburation and ignition modifications would be in order as well.

I had a '95 Roadking with a SE Aircleaner, aftermarket pipes, and an Andrews EV13 cam that really came to life after the cam was installed. I've heard that the EV27 is also a good cam for touring bikes.

Bill
