The same thing happend to me on my 05 Bmw RT1150. Lost all rear brake and most of the front. The instrument panel went off like a F-14 fighter plane with turbine failure. Bmw took two weeks to fix it and deemed ABS pump failure. The bill came out to $3500.00 but it was covered under warranty.

The ABS and rear brake will disconnect and the pedal will go to the floor if you were downshifting and using engine braking while coming to a stop. This is a NORMAL ABS response!

There are warnings against doing this in the manual. You might want to recheck this section and make sure you are riding the bike properly.

Wow... if you downshift through the gears, using engine braking,with Harley's ABS system... that causes the brake pedal to go to the floorboard? Not sure I'm liking that sound of that so much....

Umm....I think that was taken a little out of context.
