Default Exhaust Question?

Hi new here and just bought a 2009 street glide was wandering if the cat can be removed from the pipe? If so would there be any performance gains Idid not want a 2-1 pipe nor true duals, was wandering with the cat removed and after market slip-ons and a pc5 installed how it would run?

fullsac did a test on '09 headers with and without the cats and found no difference in performance until your build was capable of making 90+ hp.

Default Cats

Only 2009 bikes sold in California have cats in them. If your bike is from Indiana there are no cats. On the other hand all 2010s have cats.

There's no catalytic converter in your pipes unless you bought a California model. The only other bikes having a cat are the CVOs but since you have a 2009 Street Glide, there was no CVO Street Glide until 2010.
