First for me
FWIW on pricing 2010's: Both of the local dealers that I spoke with told me that they had gotten news from Harley that their bike allotments for the year had been drastically reduced. My dealer "connection" confirmed that his dealership was expecting about half of the number of bikes they got last year. So, the dealers are gambling a bit at this point. Sell it now at a discount, or hold off and hopefully make some money on it if the economy turns around later in the year. They'll have fewer bikes to make their money on, so real bargains might be tough to find (at least until the '11 bikes show up).
Salesman said they were selling fast and bragged about them not dealing and selling at $1K over MSRP. Also said all the CVO's they had on order were already sold. I wondered about the logic of not dealing when they had a 2008 Electra Glide Standard still on the floor.
Glad that the girl I dealt with came in from lunch so I could get her to talk to 2nd guy(as 1st had walked out the door). She started talking to him and started asking what he was interested in and what kind of riding he planned on doing. Lot better than the 1st salesman(idiot).
