1st off you said it was the closest dealer to you 650 miles away.
2nd you said you didn't want to ask your local dealer to fix it.
Which is it?

3rd you said your local dealer wouldn't even find a Street Glide for you. After reading your rant maybe your local dealer is tired of you and doesn't want to do business with you anymore.

That old saying is true you know: "We reap, what we sew"

You also said that your local dealer (owner) wouldn't even talk to you now.
Why should he? You bought a $20,000 toy off someone else.
Hell my dealer got mad at me just for driving a 100 miles to get a price quote.
.......and I bought the bike locally once he matched their offer.

Tell us the whole story, between you and your local dealer.
Not your local dealer 650 miles away, but your local dealer who won't talk to you.

Are you calmed down yet? Buy the way I finished my bike yesterday... Done to perfection. Was putting oil in the tank and droped the cap on the front finder. I'm never going to let me work on it again. Here is me starting her up for the first time.

Had a similar issue with my Ultra, the sbag lid was rubbing on the side cover, that wasn't evident when I picked up the bike. After some miles, it rubbed a nice scratch/gash in the side cover. Dealer explained that fit & finish are the dealer's responsibility and they would take care of it, they did at their cost, not HD warranty: Adjusted the bag and ordered new side cover and sbag lid which had to be painted since I have a custom color. Sounds reasonable that the selling dealer must take care of the scratches. Sorry for your plight, but I wouldn't expect another dealer to eat the costs of the scratches, hope you can work something out.

What are you going to do when you get some real damage like a rock chip or your purse scratches the tank girlfriend? Maybe you can have them ship you some ***** too. So much for the real biker. Do you think that after you make this much stink over a scratch that your oh so picky a$$ missed while the bike was on the floor that when you have a real problem they will want to help you? They already have your number.

After you put some miles on that bike, you will stop worrying about little scratches and just enjoy the riding. I remember my first ding on my Road King, I saw this bouncing rock the size of a marble come off a truck and strike my front fender. Because the bike was new, I was out there filling it, buffing it and being **** retentive about it. Well after awhile, the second ding and another scratch etc. etc. If you are going to ride, they will not look perfect as in the show room. Did you buy it to ride or to polish? Ride it!!!!

I'm headed out for a 300 or so mile ride today, it's going to rain. Do you think the rain will ruin my bike?? Should I be worried??

You had better take off your saddlebags and leave them at home. They might get dirty.

Yes, rain will cause your bike to shrink, then you will have to buy a bigger bike.

At least you got a guy who said he would take care of it....650 is a hike so make an overnight thing of it.
