Default PCV Fuel Mileage

Love my Fuel Moto PCV! Get around 38 MPG when I ride normal and sensible. The heat reduction was outstanding. However, rode 400 miles straight up I-5 in California at 85-90 MPH and the fuel mileage was only 24 MPG. Anyone else have such low mileage at these speeds? Really sucks only getting a 130 miles to a tank of gas. I know, I am riding to fast for most of you, in the 400 miles up I-5 there is nothing to see and its a straight boring road and that was the general pace of traffic on the road.

Have the PCV, SE Airfilter Kit and SE Exhaust on 08 Ultra and very lightly loaded.

Thanks for the help!

Not a PC V, but about all I can nurse out of mine with PCIII is 37 highway, 30-32 in town with fuelmoto map. Sure does run good though.

I have the package from Fuel Moto pcv, breather and mufflers. Two up loaded 60-70 checks 42-43 mpg. I checked one tank stock and got 44 mpg. I am pleased with mpg and throttle response is much better. The Reinharts make it sound like a Harley.

I was getting in the low 30's with the FM canned MAP. I carried my netbook on a recent 3800 mile trip and finally dialed in good MAP for my build using the AT. I now get in the low 40's two up and loaded. This is running Interstates at 70 to 75 mph. High for the trip was 48 mpg in the mountains between Stanley and Boise, Idaho.

The PCV autotune works. I get around low-mid 40's running around 85MPH on a 103 with the cruising AFR set to 14.1. The autotune lets you set the bike up for acceleration power and cruising economy and writes each cylinders map separately. Kind of like having your cake and eating it too. A bike that's running in perfect tune at all times is using gasoline efficiently and gets good mileage. To get the same results on a dyno(once) you'd have to almost spend as much money as the auto-tune module costs and just hope the "tuner" knew what he was doing. I think the auto-tune is well worth the extra $300. You know you got it right that way.

Something doesn't sound right with the math. So at 24mpg your saying you used 16.66 gallons of gas to go 400 miles ?
