Lets all remember, all 2010 touring bikes have a CAT in the header.
You can't compare slip on mufflers from 09' and earlier.

I completely gutted my OEM slip-on 2-1- muffler on my 2010 RG, no baffle at all.
The sound is slightly louder at idle, more above 3k rpm. It does have a deep sound.

My conclusion is until the CAT in the header is removed or replaced, your 2010 touring
bike will sound very mellow no matter what slip-on is install.

The PC V is now shipping, Fuel Moto has the tunes . . .

The PC V does't use the O2 sensors, so a 09' complete exhaust can be installed.

I ended up going with the race tuner because I had heard of cases where the PC would fail over time. I am no expert, but I heard the Tuner download worked in conjunction with the ecm and the PC is installed into it! Not sure if that makes sense!

Default 2010 SG Slip on

I also installed the SE slip-on last week. It is made by SuperTrapp and therefore adjustable with the add or subtract of discs. You would need to by additional discs from SuperTrapp if you want it any louder. Just remove discs if you want it quieter. I love the ability to change the tone as I was very worried about getting the wrong tone and having to buy a whole new pipe. I can't imagine changing to a dual as I understand a 2 into 1 as being better performance.

the download's a waste of $$$!!! its still epa regulated so your bike will still run lean and you'll be out $150! changing just the muffler is fine, but once you change your air cleaner you'll need a tuner. i hear rush has a slip on available for the 2010 sg & rg.

I was told the same thing! That's why I chose the race tuner. The rule of thumb is when changing both, you need some type of re-map to the ecm.

The PC-V plugs in-line and stays there.

The SERT goes in-line and when your done adjusting your tune it write the new setting to the ECM and then you remove the SERT.

So there's good and bad with both.
The PC-V is another module in-line and the SERT re-writes the ECM.

So it's your personnal option, but there are a lot more DynoJet tuners that can tune the PC-V, but you still need to find a good Dyno tuning guy.

Thanks Shadow...that actually clears things up a little for us non-tech types!

Smoky. You are now armed with a lot of information from every one on the fourm. Now check around your area for someone that is a real good dyno tuner, once it is done you will enjoy your bike.
