sounds a little high although the monster ovals are a little pricey, you should look at fuelmoto, they are a supporting vendor here, they have awesome package prices, his air cleaner comes with a re-usable K&N filter (I think the HD version still uses a paper filter) and his maps are on point with the power commander V. Plus if you make changes in the future, he will send you new maps for free.......
Sounds like you went to Kitchener Harley. Those geniuses told my buddy it was $2000 for them to install a pair of slip-ons and re-map his bike. For slip-ons.
Then again, they were the same intellectual superheroes who told me I'd need to replace my pushrods with adjustable ones when I change my rocker gasket.
you guys are forgetting the labour time to put the pipes and ac on, so ya i'd say $2000 is pretty good. then again you could order the stuff online and do it all yourself, skip the sert and get a pcv mapped from fuel moto.....
My dealer wants this much money for V&H Monster Ovals, Harley free flow intake, SERT program, and dyno time. Is this average cost or is it insane?
I was at $1700.00 with no dyno time. They had done this set up before and wanted me to try it before I spent the extra money on the dyno. It worked out fine and I saved $400.00.
That price is right in line with what I have seen.
Sounds kinda high to me. I'd at least shop around your local indy's and see what they can come up with. From your other thread it already sounds like you may have some doubt about your dealer. I'd go with an indy or a different HD s shops. If your gut feeling is causing you to 2nd guess these guys then it's probably for a reason.
Go with Fuel Moto my buddy did PCV Monster ovals S/E AC with KN filter 1044.00 to the door about 45min to 1 hour install time his bike runs great..I had the sert on my 07 and the bike ran like crap....
