Skip 'em both and get a 2002...Best of the Twin Cams.

As far as miles go, don't sweat 'em. My 2000 has 77k and hasn't let me down yet.

What tell tell signs should I look for that tells me it is an IDS sprocket?

It's the isolated drive sprocket kit. Came standard on 08 and later, available add on for 07's. It's the rear sprocket that has a compensator bowl and rubber isolators which is to help absorb the roughness of the drivetrain.

The heads are better on the 06.
