You may just need the wider stem mirrors. The stock ones that came on my RG were to narrow, so I put the longer stem ones on and problem solved. As others stated there is no substitute for turning your head and looking.

Some of us old farts have a problem turning our head far enough. At least far enough to check the blind spot. I put the long stem Harley mirrors on and they are a huge improvement over the stock mirrors. I can adjust the left side to see my blind spot and the right one will adjust to cover everything behind me.

I agree with chiefparry - I had the HD mirrors on my Road King and they were better than a flat mirror, but not worth the money and didn't completely eliminate the blind-spot. I also tried a split vision mirror sold by J&P (PN: 760-552) but they were even worse....such a small head, that you couldn't see ANYTHING well!
