Default Wide Angle Mirrors

I'm tired of hearing drivers along side me when I ride without being able to see them. I figure some small stick on convex mirrors would do the trick, but what I would really like is something that I could attach to the mirror that would stick out the outside edge of the mirror, rather than just stick on the glass.

Harley now sells a "Split Vision Mirror" for $120.00 a pair

but I don't want to spend that kind of money when I can buy the cheap stick-ons are like $5.00 the pair.

Anybody know of an inexpensive convex mirror that I can clip onto my existing mirrors?

HD makes them, but they are expensive for mirrors, I just do the old head turn and check.

I've had them for a few years now and they really aren't that good. They do not give you a good side angle view and you still have that blind spot just off your shoulders. For the money I personally do not think they will do what you hope they will. I would not buy them again, but since I have them I'll keep them. They look good.

On every Ultra I have had I always put the long stem mirrors on the bike. They can be adjusted to see very good to the sode and rear and are inexpensive. The stock mirror stems are too short and about all you see is your shoulders.

Just go to the Harley site and do a search for the long stem mirrors. Part number for the right is 91846-03B. I didn't look up the left.

You could also get the mirror extension kit 91907-87 29.95 .They raise your mirrors about 2 ins.and makes them stick out a little more.I have them on my RK and can see better with them.Less shoulder and more behind me and also alittle more to the side.Hope this helps.

The biggest problem with convex mirrors is everything is smaller, as stated on the mirror": "Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear."

I'd rather have flat glass and know what I am seeing it real dimension, and like previously said by gunner, "TURN YOUR HEAD AND LOOK !"

+1 on that! I'm relatively tall and the best I could to with the stock mirror adjustments was to have about half of it looking at my shoulders. These extensions put them up high enough that I only catch a little of my shoulder in the very inside edge of the mirror. Keep them adjusted a little on the wide side and make use of the swivel the good Lord put your head on and you won't have any problems!

Ride Safe,
Steve R.

My riding buddy has the Harley Split Vision Mirrors and hates them. He'll be removing them shortly.
