I usually put the cap on my floorboard. If it doesn't fall when you upright the bike, it will when your foot gets on the board. However, I really don't forget much. I did forget one thing, once. Yep... kick stand. Never do that again.

AND if you had denim paint, you could just get a rag, wipe it off and ride away...ask me how I know!

yeah, luckily the gas station is like 300 yards from my sub-division, I got home wiped it down with detail spray and a quick wipe of nano-wax
