Just in case you were wondering......if you fill up with gas and then forget to put your gas cap on there is a pretty sweet built in reminder......once you upright the bike off the stand, it will let you know you have forgotten your gascap....how you may ask???? It will send a stream of gasoline all over your tank and down the side of the bike.......

Will also cost about 18 bucks for a replacement. The first day I brought mine home one of my riding buddies filled me in on that

Quick fix, never lose it again .............. drill a hole through the cap, knot one end of a piece of string. Thread the string from the bottom of the cap through the hole, the knot will keep it from going all the way through. Now, put the cap on, determine how much string you need and tie it to the handlebar. Trim off the excess and you've got a cap holder! When you fill up, let it dangle, then just reach over and put it on.

Would any of you guys know why this happens? If you overfill the tank and lean it on the stand the gas drips down the overflow tube by the swing arm. OK makes sense, but I have a bud that has an 05 injected EG and if he overfills his the bike will start to run like crap and he will have to keep reving the throttle and put it on fast idle for a few minutes, then drive away. Can anyone esplain this? Sorry dont mean to hi jack the thread.

I guess because I never lost one I don't see the big deal. I just set mine on my seat when I'm filling up....you'll know you forgot something long before you have a chance to spill gas down the side of your bike or down your leg.
