I've had mine replaced twice......so far. The fork lock is just a complete cheap quality total POS! Recall is for bikes built before FEB 15! Anybody have an issue on a bike built after the recall date?
Had them do the install at my 2500 service. It's a .4 hour job and the lock operates smoother and it seems that it's a lot easier to get the forks locked now. And yes the lock looks the same and I have the same keys.
Stopped by my dealer yesterday to get my daughter a helmet and get in touch with the service manager about the lock recall and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. He said he would have to get in touch with Harley to see what they are doing about the recall. I find it hard to believe that we are getting our letters and yet the dealers know nothing about this. He said he would have to order new lock kits and would call me when they come in.
