Arrow Rider backrest mounting bracket

If you decide to sell the bracket, I`m looking for one...........cheap, free or reasonable.

This allows the backrest to be mounted further foreward or back as desired. My problem is that I can only use the 2 forward mounting holes. This puts the backrest too far forward. If I try to use either of the two rearward mounting holes, the seat pan hits the mounting bracklet and I can't install the seat. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Have you found a way to mount the barcket further back? I have 3 different seats and I have the same problem with each. Is it possible that I have the wrong mounting bracket for a RG? Thanks for your help.
Lots of guys have this problem. They end up bending the backrest itself rear-wards to give them room.

I seem to recall a few years ago that some people were bending the post on the backrest to get it to sit further back. Sorry I don't remember the exact situation.

Thanks for the idea. I'm going to look tomorrow to see what it would take to bend the post on the backrest and if that would solve the problem.

I had to put a lot of heat on mine to bend those suckers, they are HARD.

I ran into the same problem on my 07 RK. I put a 1/2" spacer inbetween the brackets and used a longer bolt. This will lean the backrest back. You will have to find the correct hole for mounting it to the fender by mounting it forward a little because the backrest will lean back more.

Hey kyote - Thanks for the offer. I may take you up on that. I'll probably wait for a couple of months to seriously tackle this as the bike is stored and covered up for the winter. There were a few other suggestions about spacers, washers and a longer bolt that I will also ponder once I get back at it.
