the last schematic for a touring, FLH with fairing shows 3 wires to each gauge.

fyi, if you go to the harley sip site (https://serviceinfo.harley-davidson.com/sip/index) you can register for a free account which will allow you to pull a lot of information, such as owner's manuals, wiring diagrams, parts manuals, instruction sheets, etc. you can also forgo the registration if you just enter in your vin number, but that will only give you the information that is pertinent to that bike. you can also subscribe which will give you full access including service manuals, etc.
i downloaded the schematic that was appropriate for my 2019 rgs and printed it on 24 x 36 to hang on the wall.
