Here is the problem. The standard Harley download is for Harley replacement pipes and their stage 1 breather only. It will help some with the Rineharts but alot of people still have some back firing and popping when HD is finished. With the Power Commander and a dyno they can dial it in perfect. A lean mean running machine. Sorry about the expense[:@] but you are riding an $18,000 motorcycle.

[sm=exactly.gif] Before I took delivery on my RK I had the dealer install the SE Stage 1 Intake and Python slip-ons. They re-flashed the ECM but the thing detonated like a SOB. The service writer told me the flash would not completely solve the problem because of the aftermarket pipes. I then installed a Power Commander and the dealer put the bike on the dyno and custom tuned it. Solved the problem for the most part.
Then, over the winter, the dealer had a special sale on engine upgrades. I had them install SE 95" cylinders, pistons and high performance clutch spring (basically the Stage 1 kit minus the intake which I had already done) along with machined HDFR heads, EVO valves, heavy duty valve springs and quick install push rods. I also removed the Pythons (didn't like the sound they put out) and replaced them with Vance & Hines Ovals. The dealer put the bike on the dyno and custom tuned it again. Still detonates a little, mostly when downshifting (sounds cool though).
Apparently the problem is with all the EPA crap that is now on the bikes. I did the Stage 1 Intake and aftermarket pipes on my 99 FLHTCI, had the dealer flash the ECM and had no problems whatsoever. [sm=bangbang.gif]

One of the often overlooked issues with re-mapping is that it voids your warranty...so says my dealer anyway. ..................
I was concerned about that also since I bought the extended warranty. My dealer assured me that they will cover any modification they do. Don't know what would happen if I break down far from home.

It is unlikely that any dealer would give you crap and would fix you under warranty in the unlikely event you broke down far from home. I was just paranoid about the potential for having a warranty issue since I had just had to replace the engine in one of my cars which ended up as a battle with the dealer.

On another note, I have a similar setup minus the 95". What do you get on the dyno?

Right now it gets 88 hp and 94 fp torque. They tell me when I add the cams I can expect about 105 hp. I'm going to do that when I take the bike in for the 2500 mile service. Should be sometime in late June. I'll post the results.

I picked up my RK Classic about 1 month ago. I had it delivered with the following set-up:
95 inch upgrade
SE 204 cam
Power Commander PCiii USB
Reinhart true duals

The dealer performed a "light" dyno test of the bike and at that time I had 83-84 hk and 99 ft/lbs
According to the dealer I shoud get ~ 5-6 horses more along with 5-7 ft/lbs of torque when the bike is "broken in"

Does any one else have experiance regarding HK / ft/lbs increase as time passes.
I plan on having the PC tuned on my 1000 or 1500 service....
