Default Toolkit storage??

OK, so where does everyone store their toolkit, particularly those with Ultras. I have a 2010 SE Ultra and decided to store the roll-up toolkit in the right saddlebag, standing on end against the front of the bag for easy access. I don't store it in the TP since the TP is detachable.

Does anyone store their toolkit in their saddlebag lid or is it too heavy?

I store the tool kit and rain gear in the left side saddle bag. My thought is I use it very little and rather keep the right / high side open for more frequently used stuff..... just my 2 cents

Interesting... I typically keep the more frequently used items (hat/sunglasses/empty space for items I might pickup on a ride) in my left saddlebag and the less frequently used (rain gear/toolkit/wipe down rag/manual) in my right saddlebag.

The thinking being that when parking with other bikes it can be a challenge to access the right bag as other bikes are leaning "into" my bike. Also since I always get on an off the bike from the left side, its more convenient to store items that get more use on the same side I use to get on/off the bike.
