I'd get the '06. The TC88 is a proven motor. give MoCo a couple years to work the bugs out of the new motor
I would agree... I never buy anything that is in it's first year of production. But that's just me...

I'd go with the '06 based on my experience with many vehicles. When major (and even minor) changes are made, there are always bugs and issues until they work them out. Remember when the TC88 first came out.... I believe many folks had problems with cams/bearings, etc. and it took the MoCo a bit to own up to it and then correct it in subsequent years. Also, remember the issue with the 6 speed when it forst came out, there were a few problems with a false indication of neutral and some folks were actually starting there Dyna's in gear - which is always a nice suprise. Not sure how wide spread either of these problems were, but for most of us to have heard about them - that's wide spread enough for me when you're dropping 25K for a piece of machinery. For me, I'll wait at least 2 years for them to discover, own up to, and then correct their mistakes.

Yeah right the 07 will have many bugs. Where did you get this information from? HD been around for many year and the have some of the same reoccuring problems especially with the EPA aound now. My advice is to by what you want. Just remember 06 was the last year you can do a stage 1 with out voiding your warranty. I had 4 dealers confirm this.

Hold off
what ever comes on the 07 is an improvement over the 06
with injector, motor mount, ignition lock, and radio issues the 07 have the bugs out of them.
