Anybody using one? How difficult was it to install? Looks like a plug and play set up, I'm assuming the unit goes in the fairing. Any real world info would be appreciated.
Easy plug and play as you say. I have two openers set to a single address so they both go up/down at the push of a button. I have never had any non -responsiveness issues with my unit.
I have the FLHRCI here...not plug and play on the road king, but not a difficult install either. Mine used to work great...now about 50% of the time have to the switch a couple times before it activates.
Purchased and installed when they first came out. Through several hours of programming and testing - realized that it just wasn't worth it. it worked fine as long it was always opened and shut with the Harley module, but wouldn't open with the Harley and close with the old openers.
The installation wasn't that difficult - good instructions and took less than 30 minutes (not counting the programming, etc).
IMHO, it wasn't worth the $$. Much cheaper to purchase the windshield pouch and keep a opener in it. Harley windshield pouch
Anyone have a picture of this installed. I was just complaining about having to get off the bike in my driveway. I have to put it in gear and shut it off. My driveway resembles Mt. Everest. I left it running once and it took a walk. Scared me to death. Nothing was damaged except my pride. Think the neighbors might have seen it.

Well it's not the placement but maybe it's the $12K difference in cost of an SE Ultra vs an Ultra! lol
Seriously, I have a steep long (1500ft) winding drive and need both hands til I get there. 99% time there is no issue but occassionaly there is. I've been tempted to trash the Genie and get a more expensive and better quality Martin opener. I do have a keypad outside for those rare occassions. Not a waste of money as long as it works. And it is a very easy install
No it does not! I have three cars using homelink, two hand held remotes, One keypad, the hardwire inside the garage and of course my Harley. All work independent of each other.
That said, I have a Genie and no problem here. But other mfg's may not be as liberal
I'd buy another one! I like it's convenience

Thanks for the reply's but now you guys got me wondering----does this opener interfere with the normal operation of my car remotes?
