Do you want some cheap (inexpensive) ones? I went to Walmart and they had some "Libery Biker" glasses. I bought one pair clear and one polorized. The clear was under $100 and the polorized wasn't much over $100.

They are real bendable so they are extremely comfy. I couldn't wear my Oakleys with a helmet on. Not even a Half Helmet. The side pieces would hit the helmet.

and they came with a nice hard, zippered case too.

You can check out the colors of them here:

Bought Wiley X Slyde (frame only, no lenses) online from Optics Planet for about $46.00 with free shipping. You can take them about anywhere for lenses of your choice. I found a place in central Illinois that was the cheapest by far, called All About Eyes. Got polycarbonate lenses, with a grey wash, transition lenses, lined bifocal for less than $150.00. Total was less than $200.00 for the glasses when I was done. Got the idea for the grey wash and transition lenses from a member on this forum. With the grey wash you can still use at night or in the rain but will still get a little darker than with transition lenses alone.

All seriousness intended. Those of you that are thinking about using your prescription glasses or getting prescription lenses made, might want to make sure to consider the shatter factor. Even with a windshield, one little rock can ruin your day, or your eye. I think the high quality poly carb lenses are well worth it.

What about Multifocal contact lenses? They work great for me.

We told you that if you didn't stop doing "that" you would go blind. ha ha

I've been wearing glasses nearly all my life. When riding, I simply wear a pair of goggles over them or if it's really cold I use the face shield and no goggles.

I don't like having multiple pairs of glasses. I once had clip on sunglasses to go over my regular ones and even hated that. I've since gone back to photo-gray lenses. When your Rx changes, you will need new lenses so if you have a couple of different pairs, then prices go up.

When i was a youngster just stared riding scoots, wearing my glasses wasn't an issue as i wore a full face helmet. After i had LASIK i started wearing 1/2 helmets.

I have a pretty big scripe and found that non of those fancy riding glasses work, they always get the scripe in the wrong spot on the lens or they grind it straight and then put it in a curved frame so you are looking throw the scrip at the wrong angle.
I found the best glasses for riding are a plain old set of plastic RAYBANS, they fit tight around the nose to stop air from entering and they are big enougfh to offer good protection from flying crap on the road.

[quote=tencrore;5772903]Now that I got your attention, can I PLEASE be a member of your team!

I just found out that I need glasses... at the young age of 44!

Accordingly, I want to ask all my bespectacled brothers and sisters your opinions on riding glasses. The only brand of riding glasses that I am familiar with are the Wiley X's. I have them for my riding glasses, but without any Rx conversion. I don't know if they or Panoptx make prescription lenses for their frames so I thought I'd ask.

Any other suggestions or brands would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for your help

I had very bad eyesight until I had surgery to correct it. Before, I bought a pair of very curved Wiley X glasses. Wiley would not fit them with the lens I needed. I went to a guy who makes lens for any glasses, and had them made for about $85. Look for any optical place that cuts their own lens. They will do it.
