I have done a half dozen amplified antennas for several buddies and have no complaints yet!! Everyone has been a cheap one from Advanced Auto! I believe they are around $20!

I have had this on my road glide for 15.000 miles works great about 35.00 I don't know why they don't come as standard equipment

I've used the cheap $8 rubber shorty from the auto store on a few bikes and it works better than stock. All I did was zip tie it inside the fairing. IMO the digital ones are a waste of money.

I bought mine at AutoZone for $20, I wired it up and installed it inside the fairing and it works great. Maybe a little less reception compared to the stock whip antenna, but works better then the rubber stubby I had installed before it.

Yet another vote for the Ebay hidden (tape) antenna. Just installed tonight and it works as well, if not better than my stock antenna did. Shipping was super fast too. Anyone considering one, GO FOR IT!! It also picked up the weather band which is a plus!
