What companies make the exhaust pipes with out the cat.
Please supply the web address or company name.
I'm working on a Limited deal and once again jsut like 2007 I'm
forced to change something on a new bike to get rid of the
heat so I can ride it, not to mention the performance.
Will the computer be ok with out the cat? Is a cert, or some other
fuel managment mandentory if pipes and muffler is changed? I did the
thunder max in 2007 and my engne blew at 6K miles, the TM may have
had nothing to do with it but I don't want to take a chance with a new
Limited....the 103 should be good without the cat.
On a side note, what exhaust slip on's make a torque performance
(noticable difference) increase and is just a quiet as stock. I'm not
into the loud sound, however a deeper tone is cool.
I would call Jaimie at Fuel Moto or Jackpot, he will be selling starting this week an all stainless steel pipe system and also sells jackpot mufflers that are carbon fiber, they look cool and seem to be high quality and high flow.. I would start there... SERT (Screamin Eagle Race Tuner) is obsolete, Harley now sells SEPT (Screamin Eagle Pro Tuner) a nice tool, you may save some money getting a package from him including the fuel management system he recomends... I prefer SEPT and will be using it on my 103 with the Jackpot Mufflers and the new pipes, will be ordering on Monday.................
I was wondering if you could forego a SEPT and do a stage 3 download on just a pipe and muffler change. Will that richen it up and work with out having to do a dyno?
Thanks for the replys , I've changed my mind and attitue about the Limited Cat issue
However I will give a +1 on anyone interested in doing that for Jamie at Fuel Moto
I talked to him and he has a Grade A+ product just for this, ( once summer gets here I may be calling him) BUT after riding my new Limited . I am keeping it pure stock. I love the sound and performance just as it is ! And as I can tell right now there will not be any heat issues.

We will be doing a wide range of dyno testing later this week thru the weekend on the 2010 103" limited bike and developing fuel maps. I will post information as it is available. We will do before/after testing with our 2/1/2 headpipe just as we did on the 96" bike.
