Default e-glide is crashed. which next?

I posted a thread in the general chat area about my crash last week..."my cadillac is gone"....but my question here is-

I will upgrade from my 01 to an 06 to 08.
what are any major or worthwhile reasons to pick one year over another?

i posted crash pics in my album here.

no helmet, 60mph, suv=dislocated elbow.

08 has 6 speed. That is the first thing that comes to mind. I am not sure if it has throttle by wire as well. It also comes with the IDS to keep the 5 gear quiet.

There are getting to be a lot of used 09s out there now, you might want to consider that jump because there were a lot of changes that basically amount to a whole different ride.

There's a reason there are alot of 09's for sale. Mine would be also if I wasn't burried in it. The rear suspension blows and the tire wear is terrible. I would gladly trade it in for a different bike if I could. This time next year i will be in a better position.

I don't have any of these problems with my 09. Seems changing out the rear shocks and getting some new tires would be a lot cheeper then getting a whole new bike. And seeing how they have the same rear shocks and rear tires on the 10's there probably wont be much of a difference there either.
