Wow, are the 09 shocks different than th 08's? I keep 10 psi in my rear shocks! No tour pack or passenger but I didn't think you could put that much air in them. I'll have to get the book out.
08 shocks are 35 psi max. I think the 09s and 10s are 50 psi max, so yes, they are different.
09 and newer bikes have a 50psi rating on the shocks. That is where I keep mine when we are 2 up. At times we still bottom outwhile riding.
As far as the tire wear and recall,I have had the 408 installed. I will let ya know how it works out. I had to have front beerings and also rear beerings replaced. my rear tire was cupped real bad after only 5200 miles also.
