we are planning a long road trip and I am looking for info on seat help. do not want to change the seat out just maybe get some help in making the seat more comfortable for longer rides
I've bought two pads from them, and they are great. The pad I've got now is the "Jumbo" with the sheepskin cover. It's great, particularly in hot weather.
The first one I had was just the regular gel pad, and I had a guy take the leather off the seat, hollow out some padding, and put it in the seat. It worked fine.
I just put the Harley sheepskin on my 06 Ultra...WOW...what a difference. I notcied the change immediatly. I know after 3 100 mile days that I wish I had done this LONG ago...
Sheepskin is wonderful.........cool in Summer, warm in Winter. Only one drawback: stow it fast if it starts to rain, because it'll wick water. Doesn't really matter if you don all your rain gear, but if it is light enough of a rain and you can ride through it, your butts are gonna get wet if you don't put on your rain gear. Thankfully, the Alaska sheepskin I own come off in a about 3 seconds. Nice folks and fast service.
If a pad or liner is what you're after, AirHawks are nice. We picked up a pair in Strugis in 2001 and still use them on vacation rides when we'll be doing consecutive 500+ mile days. On anything less, our Mustang seat does just fine.
