Default RG's - Anyone running Yaffe Monkey Bar's?

Saw these today on a street glide...once I sat on it, I fell in love with the feel.

Monkey Bagger Bars
Holy **** these bars are bitchin!! When Paul took to tricking out his Street Glide he wanted to combine chopper styling and attitude with a unique handlebar that Bagger Nation could truly call it’s own! Talk about nailing it! Since we introduced the Monkey Bars two years ago we’ve seen some guys trying to copy them, but the quality is ****, they made straight corners instead of our sexy arched points and corners and they have made no consideration for internal wiring where we swedge and polish the inside of our bars to make your wires go through smooth! There is just no cutting corners when it comes making high quality, great looking Original
Monkey Bars! Believe us...You’ll get what you pay for! Our hand crafted, made one at a time Monkey Bars are designed to fit all touring models with bat wing fairings such as Street Glides, Electra Glides and Ultra’s. Nothing will add more attitude to your bagger than a set of Paul’s Original Monkey Bars! Our standard most popular size sits 12” tall (installed) 36” wide with a 9” pullback with an 1.25” diameter. They are available in both chrome or gloss black powdercoated finishes. Custom heights from 10” thru 18” are available through special order by calling the shop. Each bar is pre-drilled and swedged and polished inside at the corners for easier
internal wiring. They also work with the new fly-by-wire throttle system found on 2008 and 2009 touring models.

Part # MBB / Monkey Bagger Bar chrome 12” x 1.25 / $375.00
Part # MBB-B / Monkey Bagger Bar black 12” x 1.25 / $375.00

Above bars fit all touring models with bat wing fairings from 1986 thru 2009
Make sure to choose a corresponding Supersize Kit

I've been doing HotRod motor work for a local club and just about all the guys run "Handlebar Lee" bars. They have the same basic style as the Yaffe's. After test riding several of them, I grew to like the look and love the "feel".... Very Comfy!

I decided to get a set. I called, left messages, called... but no response.

Then I saw a thread here on a RG that just had BR Bars installed. Well... the look was very similar. I started looking at the BR website and called and chatted with BR. He's a GREAT guy & he makes KICKAZZ stuff! Bars, crashbars, and more!

He makes everything custom - to YOUR specs.

I ordered and just received a set of his 1 1/2" "Sweeping Beaters", similar to the ones in the thread here, but to my size spec. They are F'ing SWEET!

I have not got them installed, as I have all the control housings out for powder coating and have brake lines on order.

If I were you, I'd have a look at the BR site and chat with him BEFORE you pic something else.

It's pretty cool having something original and unique that is also "just what ya wanted"!

Awesome Phil! Have you already got em?? Did you get taller/wider bars than mine? If not, you can use the original brake line and clutch cable. Any bigger and you'll have to change both cables.

I really like the BR bars but they seem to be at least 100 bux higher. I am sure its because they are not mass produced, just seems a little much. I think I read that you paid almost 500 for bars alone funky?

They are here, & they are freak'n SWEET!!!

I did change the size up a little and ended up replacing the clutch & throttle cables. I'm working on getting the controls all spliced in ~ nice & clean.

1500 to install!!!!!!!! HOLYSH1T!

I'll do it for ya for $400, if you supply the parts. That would save ya close to $500.
