I thought long and hard when buying my new RGC. I like the looks of the Cross Country bike, but couldn't get past the idea of driving 3 1/2 hours to the nearest Victory dealer. Its a first year model, and I know its inevitable it will have recalls, every 1st year car, bike, atv does. I also had to keep in mind, that Harley dealers and service departments out number victory by about 80 to 1. So on a trip, need a part, you might have to drive upwards of a few hundred miles to get to the nearest dealer.
Now that I did go with the RGC, I couldn't be happier. I will still check out the cross country once they are out on the roads, and would still like the idea of owning one. But until the time comes when there are more dealers, especially in my area I won't be getting one.

a pretty cool looking trip computer, a way to plug an Ipod or MP3 into the bikes stero as well as other well thought out design touches all for less $$ than the HD.
Hmmm, SC last I checked (rumbling in to work this morning), my 09 Ultra has an aux input for Ipod, Mp3, Navi, etc. I use it all the time, apparently you don't?

My FLHX has an input but it does not sync up with the factory stereo.
I did not start this thread to bash HD. I am very happy with my bike. My point was that the Victory engineers seem to be thinking about the features on their bikes and if HD doesn't watch out they will continue to lose customers to Victory.
I love my new Road Glide, but I gotta wonder why Victory, a company barely 10 years old, can be so much more innovative than Harley. It makes Harley look kinda lame IMHO.

It's because Harley's R&D is afraid to try anything new in-house.
