I saw a review of this product in American Bagger and it sounded like a great idea so I ordered them. For $60, they will send you four pouches that are made to fit into the recesses in the bottom of the saddlebags for tools, etc. Philip was easy to work with I somehow paid through PayPal and it did not add the shipping, but he shipped it any way and just asked that I drop a check in the mail. They are good quality and made in the USA. Here are some pics what I like to carry (basically the contents of a Wind Zone tool kit plus some bungee cords, a small flashlight and a couple of odds and ends), what it all looks like packed (I have one of the small ones leftover) and then in the saddlebag. The soft luggage still fits in the saddlebag over these pouches. Great idea and a good product.
I have no affiliation with this company whatsoever, I just thought I would share.
Uh Yeah! As far as price - don't want anyone succeeding in business these day do we! I guess they could always just ship their stuff oversee's and get the price where you want it. Hmmm - then you'll here the same whiner's complaining about how it's made in China.
C'mon - most of us just overpaid thousands for a motorcycle, $60 bucks for a quality, smart, product made here seems reasonable to me.
Thanks for the write-up OP.
Still on my list...
And NO - absolutely no affiliation with the company - just ranting!
Now I'm goin for a ride!
I looked at those for a while and didnt think much would fit in them...at least not to justify the price. Now that I am looking at them, I think that I could have them made for about 75.00 after materials (10-15.00 for nylon mateiral, 10.00 for zippers, 4.00 for nylon thread, 6.00 for Scothcguard (water repellent to keep waterproof and mildew resistant)[already at ~30.00 for materials] and then the time to make the templates, explain what I want to the seamstress or upholstery guy, and the 40+ dollars he / she will charge me. Then factor in how many times I'll have to bring them back to him / her to make adjustments cause it wasn't the way I wanted it.
So--according to the posts----it's CHEAPER or no buy----well lets get the supplier to source CHINA---and put a couple of American workers on unemployment.
