NEED HELP
I AM VERY NEW MEMBER,AND I AM VERY NEW RIDER,I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A 1990 ULTRA CLASSIC,I HAVE TOOK THE MOTORCYCLE CLASS, AND ALL IS GOOD EXCEPT FOR WHEN STARTING MY BIKE THIS MORNING THE STARTER WAS DRAGGING SOME,BUT IT DID START,THE PROBLEM WAS AFTER IT STARTED THE STARTER KEPT TRYING TO START AGAIN WITH THE BIKE ALREADY RUNNING,DIDNT MATTER WHAT I DID I PUSHED THE KILL SWITCH NOTHING HAPPENED,FINNALY THE BIKE JUST DIED,NOW I DONT HAVE NO POWER AT ALL,IS IT THE STARTER,THE WIRING,IS MY BATTERY FRIED ??HELP !!.ANY ADVICE ON WHERE TO START WOULD BE GREAT, THANKS FOR EVERYONES INPUT.
I would get this one to a repair shop. It sounds as if your starter never disengaged, either due to a short somewhere or a freaky solenoid. Make sure the bike is completely turned off. If you want to remove the battery you can test it, but I would bet that its fried. Did you get any kind of guarantee with the bike?
