Yeah Sorry, not trying to nit-pick. Just bored at work on a Friday...

BTW, I don't like the 2010 brake lights either. I can't believe they kept the same downward swoop in the light bar and just removed the Center thing (the brake light) that the swoop curves around. Looks dumb.... Like why is it swooping downward in a U shape for? Is it supposed to be a Smiley face or something? Just strange.

Default Rear Light

I agree that the 2010 rear brake/signal looks strange

I put 30k on an 06 streetglide in three years. I traded last December for an 09. Some people say they can see a difference but for me, the difference is great. I had rineharts and tuner on the 06. I have put 11k on the 09 and it is still stock. The bike is so sweet that I really don't want to mess with it.. The only thing on the 09 that bugs me a little is the tires. I love the look of the big rear and the smaller front.. BUT they make noise and DO NO WEAR WELL. I have replaced the front {at dealer expence} and have just replaced the rear..all in all the 09 for me is a much better bike. Just my input to your post

In three years all my dealer has done for me was give me a $5 coupon on my birthday this year.

If you just putt around you won't be able to tell that much difference in the 09-later frame. But if you ride aggressively, the difference is HUGE. Read all the threads from pre-09 owners looking for aftermarket solutions e.g. Ride Straight, True Track, etc.

I've read that the Dunlop E3's are so good that you don't need all those stiffening addons for the earlier touring bikes. If you go 08 or earlier, you might want to read up on them. I'm changing to the E3's at the next tire change.

Owner of a 2006 with 25,500 on the clock. Yes, the SG has changed every year since it was new. The 2006 is the only SG with the 88 cu in motor. I've ridden the newer models with the 96 cu in motor and they do have more torque. The 88 cu in engine is a good, reliable motor with plenty of power when needed. The 2006's are 4+ years old now so each cycle will have some history behind it.

It's funny how we all try to talk the OP into getting what we have isn't it? Oh and by the way a True Track is 305 dollars so don't be afraid of the 06- 08's if you get a good deal . I've never had an issue with the electronic throttle and it feels so close to a cable it's hard to believe its elec but then again we have had those type of throttle acuators in our cars for years so the technology is proven. Go at least 96" motored and I do like my 6gal tanks too.
