Default Ultra Classic Windshield

Just picked up my 2010 Ultra Classic. The stock windshield does not seem to fit me quite right. I have to stretch and sit straight up to see over or slouch down to see through the windshield. In my natural sitting position I look right at the top. I'm 5'11'' with an inseam of 31". What windshield would y'all suggest I get for a replacement?

I'm about your height and I like the HD shield that is a 10 inch shield lightly tinted.

You might consider an 8" Windvest shield. The curvature gives the performance of a taller windshield. You may be able to get by with a 6". One thing to be aware of though is the curved part of the windshield distorts your vision, so you don't want that part to be in your normal line of sight. In the attached pictures, I have the 10" Windvest on the Ultra and 8" on the Street Glide, and I've been happy with both, but I'm 6'3".

What dontdropit said. However I learned to live with the 12" windshield. After 22K mi., I have become to love it. I is still a pain stretching to look over the top when it rains, which is seldom in this area.

I personally like to look over the windshield. I looked at Clearview and went to my HD dealer and they had a shield with lines on it for different heights to see what size i would need. Ordered a 6 inch clearview recurve and no problems. they allow you to return it if you dont like it for another size, just dont take off the protective film. Clearview.com.

I'm 5-11 and a 8" works on my SG, but a 7" is too short. I'm about to order a 6.5" clearview recurve for testing though.

Do like I did , before you you spend your money on what you think is the right one.
Take your old one out of the fairing and trim the bottom about an inch with a jig saw and try it. You might just like the one you have.

No I trimmed the bottom. This way you leave the factory edge on the top. Works pretty good, just fallow the bottom edge that gos in the fairing and it just sink it in the fairing to your desired depth. You can do this one or two inches on a stock shield.
