I'm your height, and I put a light tint 10" Fast Aire on it, and it's been great! I see over with no problems on can slump down for a little more protection. I use my stock shield in the dead of winter.

By the way, cost was around 49 dollars, you can try two or three heights for the price of one of some of these shields.

I have tried them all and I mean all. I now run the Windvest and love it. My second choice would be the Clearview. They are both about the same quality and shape. I run a 6" but an 8" would be good also. I like to look over the shield.

+1 on the FastAire 10". I'm the same size & the stock windshield was a pain, especially when it rained. The 10" Fast Aire was just the right height & the price can't be beat. Their delivery was quick too.

I haven't tried any of the recurve or other specially bent shields, though. They might be great, but I'm a naturally born tightwad. I'd rather not spend an extra $100 when what I've got works great!

I'm 6'0" and went with the 6.5" KW on my SG. Works very well for me.

I definitely prefer to look over the windshield. So while you still have your stock shield on you might try placing some blue masking tape in a few places to see where your "over the top" vision line is the most comfortable.

I went with the Longrides 9 inch medium gray with recurve. Best shield I've ever had and the tint is perfect. Fair price, in stock and quick delivery. I'm 6' 1".

+1 on the WindVest. I had a 9" ClearView which was good but took forever to get. I changed it out for a 10" WindVest which is of equal quality to the ClearView but ships immediately and has more selection in sizes. I'm 6' and can see over the 10" WindVest.
