Default Getting mad!

I am still waiting for my V and H dress dual head pipes. I ordered them about three weeks ago after getting the run around from my local dealer. When I ordered them I ordered the V and H widow slip ons and they can in about three days later. So I have gone into the shop about every other day and I keep getting the same answer. "They should be in in a day or two". So today I went back in after I was told they were sent out second day air and guess what I was told. Yup, you got it. "I called them today and they were on back order but they should have them this week". What I want to know is this. I ordered my set the day they became available, so how does the shop I ordered them from still not have them? I guess I am going to miss the toys for tots ride seeing the bike is still sitting at the shop.

I have ordered several styles of V&H exhaust systems. Not all at one time and that puts me down on their priority list. Drag Specalties, big companies come first. A lot of those businesses may be back ordered. Or they just dropped the "ball".

Could your shop be on a cash on delivery basis, and they don't have the cash to pay for them?

Why did you leave the bike there. Go get it and tell them to call when the exhaust comes.

Any work I have done, I now order the parts myself and have them installed if I can't do it, which is most of the time.

My first mistake when I bought my first harley a few years back, was to order through the dealer, and went through the same problem your are going through.

Next time you order something, try Eastern Performance. They use to be a sponsor here. I have ordered several items from them, most recently my V&H Bigshots...ordered them on a friday and had them the following monday...2 days, and free shipping on larger purchases. I have a small shop do my work, so he can get me in and out pretty quickly.

+1 on Eastern Performance. Those guys have shipped a good number of parts to me and all arrive on time and as described.... and that any easy to the Middle East!

Why would you leave a bike at the dealers (that is ridable) before all the parts come in?
The only person you should be mad at, is yourself.
