Man did I mess up today. I was putting a antena in
the fairing of my SG, got the fairing loose and let it
slip. Fell on top of the fender, put two scratches and
a dent in it. Guess I under estimated the weight of
the thing with the headlight assymbley in, and didn't
have a good grip. Talk about a sick feeling, I hate
doing stupid stuff like that.
Here is a tip for next time, I am too cheap to buy fender protectors so I went to my neighborhood Harbor Freight and purchased a bunch of their 3.99 packing quilts. They are great, slide in through the forks, cover the tank, etc. Best of all, they are cheap.
Sorry to hear about the scratches......it happens.....I got a couple on my 06 SG........oh well
BUT, I added the SE passing lamps;therefore,, when I installed my Hogtunes, the loose fairing just rested on the passing lights, and I never had to fully take it off.....YEA PASSING LAMPS i guess
