I'm here at the dealer now having it taken care of since they will do it under warranty. Waiting to see if they just replace the one or all three. If they only replace the one then I'll pick up a few extras and keep them in the tool bag of the bike just in case I need them latter.
Once again this is the best place to come to if you have a question about your bike.
I had 2 of the 3 well nuts on my 01 EGC come loose. I used a 2 part epoxy to reset them 3 yrs ago. Still holding. I'm a little more careful when tightening them now. I suppose epoxy is similuar to the JB weld idea, just a little easier to come by when out and about or late at night.
Just got back from the dealer. As I figured they only replaced the one that came out. Went ahead and picked up some just in case any of the others should do the same thing.
Problem now is that when I was on the way home I noticed that the ABS light stayed on. Can't figure how they could have messed that up by just taking the outer fairing off. Turned around and told the service writer about it but they are unable to get to it today so I'll be spending most of tomorrow back at the dealer while they look into it.
After doing a search here and checking the service manual (if you've not gotten yours yet I highly recommend getting one) it turns out the tech forgot to re-hooked the wire on the left side of the steering head that goes to the ABS when he put the outer fairing back on. I figured it had to be something simple but didn't think it would be that simple.
Plugged it back in and now every things the way it supposed to be.

Thanks again.
Come on SciFiGuy. The dealer is the best place to go if you want something screwed up, (as you just experienced). They ain't touchin mine unless it's a warranty item. Even then it would probably be a hassle.
