Default Battery Charge

Have a charger that has a .035 amp Maintainer Charge cycle on it. Do I need to remove the battery (stored for the winter), do I need to remove the neg. & pos. leads or can I leave it in the bike with it still connected ? Just hook up the charger leads ?
Do I need to rmove a fuse before I disconnect the battery cables ? I ask because I was just out trying to remove the neg. side cable, but when I put a wrench to it, sounded like there was something "turning on" up on the dash (I have a 06 FLHRCI).

No need to remove the battery or disconnect either lead.

I have a Battery Tender. I just plug it into the bike. No need to take the battery out.
It keeps the battery healthy all winter so I'm ready to go anytime.
