First of all Welcome! I also had a Yamaha Warrior and it was a great motorcycle but not a good two up machine. It was fast and handled like a sports bike, and I wish I could have kept it along with my Harley.
It sounds like you made all the right upgrades to your Harley and you and your wife should be happy with it. Now get out there and do some 2 to 3 hundred mile day rides and you will know you made the right call.
Congrats on the new scoot, and welcome to the addiction that is HD and HD Forum. Sounds like you made the right upgrades for you to be happy with your machine. And that's what it's all about.
A suggestion for you, have your paycheck routed to your local Harley dealer, you won't have it for a while and it saves on writing checks. The bright side, in about two years, you will be able to have a wonderful looking bike. In 5 years you will want to do it all over again!
I did the 103 upgrade with 255 cams on my new 2010 Road King and couldn't be happier with the performance.
Congrats on the new bike and welcome to the board. You'll learn more than you could ever imagine from this group if you tune in each day and check out the threads.
Welcome to the family. I started riding again back in '99 on a Yamaha Road Star and eventually found myself with a Harley again, well, 3 different ones since 2004. 02 Road king, 07 FLTR Road Glide and only a week old, my new 2010 FLTRX Road Glide.
Enjoy the ride, I'm sure you and your wife will enjoy it. You held out long enough to get a lot of great features.
