I posted this question in the tuning, tech section, but didn't get an answer. Here's the scenario:
I got a brand new Kuryakyn Hypercharger as a gift. I know some of you hate them, that's fine. I can't return it, it has to go on the bike. I have a 2003 Ultra with Stage 1 kit and it's fuel injected. Here's my question;;;;;;
can I just mount the hypercharger and be done, or do I need to take it to the shop and have it mapped?
Thanks !!!
I wouldn't think so. If it were me I would mount it see how the bike runs. If it runs fine I wouldn't worry about it.
+1 Have changed Pipes on several and Air Cleaners on others already set for Stage 1 and most of the time didn't have to remap or adjust the carb try and see first..

If you have the Stage 1 download. I would think you will be fine. If you want to get most out of bike than get a fuel management system and Dyno tuned.
Thanks guys, good advice,mount it and run it, see what happens. True dat!!!
I'm not after more hp, just can't stand the look of the football and got this hyper for free, kinda.
Ride safe !!!
