Yes it fits, no problems. The 3M type auto tint is designed for glass and has a mild acid adhesive... not good for plastic. 3M once made a tint for boat windshields which are made from either polycarbonate or acrylic plastic. Try a boat shop or ask a local auto tint shop if they have the marine grade tint.

There are an awful lot of sources for inexpensive, tinted shields for HD Batwing baggers... FastAire being one of the most popular (and least expensive), LongRideShields, ClearView, etc. Memphis Shades makes a model with a lower gradient (to cover the shield bag area).
I've seen several people attempt tinting the plastic shields... Never with really decent results.
