I love the center stand, great for maintenance as has been said first thing I put on the bike. Never had it scrape, but hey, I'm a Geezer rider
Ride Safe
Just an fyi, the '08 and older have more cornering clearance with the stand installed due to the exhaust design.
After reading about it here, I got one. It lasted for about 2 weeks.
It was relatively easy to get the bike up on the stand, however it never really seemed that stable. If there was any sort of load in the bags, it was nearly impossible to get the bike on the stand, unless I dismounted and yanked the thing up by the saddlebag guards.
Then there was the banging. Over any bump, the stand would bounce against the frame.
But the worst was the dragging. Any sort of spirited cornering made the damn thing drag. It cut so much of the available lean angle, that it became a safety issue. Even in low-speed corners, it'd drag if the road was bumpy.
I think it was probably the worst accessory I've bought for either of my bikes.
