Hit the button and could hear the air compressor blowing but no horn. After looking at it, the outer case is sliding up and down. If I slide it up with my hand, it sounds normal. If I let go of it, it slides down and nothing but the hum of the compressor.
Anyone else had this happen to theirs? Can it be fixed?

I had this same thing happen and I was able to fix it. It has been working flawlessly since fixing it.
After 105 years wouldn't you think Harley could supply a horn that worked when you need it to?. Both Ultras I have owned, horns would be hit or miss if it worked, my '93 and my '03. I don't get it.,
Great, but could you give me a clue? What did you do to fix it?
Thanks!
I took the actual horn apart from the round bracket, cleaned them, spread super glue gel (or some good glue) on the horn, reassembled, and used a clamp to keep the two tight until the glue dried. Works like a new one now. My guess is that this fix won't last forever, but neither do they when you buy them new. If I start having problems again I will just go through these steps again.

Thanks. I'll take it apart this weekend and see what happens.
I agree with the big cahuna. I have always had problems with horns. You never know they're bad until you need it and then it's too late.

Hated mine. Sound would diminsh as the horn was repeatedly used, sounding like a dying goose. Failed completely if got too moist. Took it off and replaced with stock cowbell. Might look at Mini Beast #5 if I change again.
Don't we all wish it (stock horn) were louder but since Willie G wouldn't do anything to put us in harm's way (ha!), the stock horn must be loud enough. Now if you believe that, ...
