How do I remove stripes?
I did something really stupid and had my bike pinstriped. The guy did nothing of what we talked about and the bike looks horrible. What can I use to wipe them off that will not break into the factory clearcoat? I have laquer thinner but I know that will go into the clearcoat if your not really careful. Please help me, I gotta get this sh*t off.

Like you said, use the laquer thinner and be very carefull. Or, you can buff them off useing a fine compound and varable speed buffer. Like the thinner, be very carefull and DON'T stay in one spot too long or you will burn the paint.

My wifes car (black) had white road paint specs all over the front of it for 2 years. Pretty much baked on after 2 summers.
I was going to try to rub it out with some light compound, but on a whim I used Acetone in a small area. Came right off and didn't ruin the paint in any way.
Finished the job and can't believe it took 2 years to do it!
You can get it at some auto stores, or for sure a paint supply shop.

I have redone a lot of bikes with some of the ugliest striping I have ever seen. One guy wouldn't even ride the bike to my shop. He got drunk one day at a poker run and had a guy do an eagle and cow skull on his 09 Ultra fairing. He woke up the next morning and wondered who had painted a pissed off chicken on his fairing. hahaha. I wiped it right off with acetone and redid what he wanted with an airbrush.Likeother shave said, just don't soak the rag in acetone. I like it because it evaporates fast and won't mess up the clear.
