'06 Electra Glide... It's My Next Major Modification. Shoulder Height Works for me Very well. I had Apes on my Chop prior to this bike,... 20" Bars.. Loved them. Can't think I wouldn't on This bike, BUT the $1200.00 price...When ALL said and Done Price is Squashing it Right now.. In the Future.
This is for those who wanted to see the +2 Sweepers. These are powder coated black with +3 steel braided cables/brake lines. These bars moved my hands back 2" and up 2", they made a huge difference over stock. I'm going higher for the comfort and appearance (I personally like the look). I just purchased a set of black 13" Cyclesmiths and Barnett Stealth Black cables. The black Sweepers and stainless +3 cables/lines were used for 5 months will be available next month, if interested PM me.
I just got done installing my 13" apes and so far I really like them. Its been in the 30's and I really don't notice any difference in cold on my hands. I mean I wear gloves anyway. The comfort is much better than stock. Its nice to sit more upright. I also feel a little more flat footed when stopped

Those look badass, can't wait to install mine. The only good thing about winter down time...
I am Still saving up some $$ for bars. I Hope to have some 14" apes installed by summer time. Thanks for all the input. Isn't it funny how there are always guys that need to post with a negative attitude. They make me laugh, I guess to each his own.

Yeah. Usually we have a few feet of snow this time of year. The day I started the install it was in the 50's and sunny with no snow. Two days later it was raining and cold. Had to wait a couple days before I could test ride and make sure everything was working after what seemed like taring half the bike down just to put on new bars. Anyway. Got a few rides in and loving it.

Nice bike BennieSG. How well do the fairing mounted mirrors work with these bars?
Something that really turns me off about the look of apes on a bagger are mirrors on stems sticking up way over the fairing.

The grips are just above the mirrors so you have to look under to use them. I am more of a turn my head kind of guy when changing lanes, so it doesn't really bother me. I still have use of the mirrors to see when someone is coming up behind me. If you went any less than 13" your hands would be dead in the center of the mirrors, and you would lose the use of them.
Great looking RK mjsawatzky that is what im going for with my 05 RK. What brand are those bars? And could you give me some info on cable length and wire extensions?
