Im in the Columbia area and I will definately say Harley Haven (803-781-1837) Staff is VERY knowledgable and are by far the best I've seen. A few buddies of mine have purchased their bikes there, and are very satisfied. I too, will be purchasing from them in the very near future.
Bought mine from Harley Haven about 6 weeks ago, professional and polite staff. They have a new store just off I-26, exit 101 just north of Columbia.
There is another new store in NE Columbia, larger store but staff did not seem as knowledge or polite. I believe that it is called Thunder Tower. It is just off I-20.
Bought my Road Glide at *** Harley in Rock Hill very nice people really good service dept to, check em out, If you do buy a bike there mention me, Bobby Gilbert I'll get $50 check
I priced mine from Atlanta to Charlotte and Columbia to Asheville. The best two price I recieved were from Anderson and Spartanburg. Ended up buying from Spartanburg ($100 better than Anderson and I live in the area.) They are a little different to deal with.
Harley Haven in Irmo. Yesterday, I bought a Black Cherry/Pewter Ultra for MSRP over the phone. I'm in NM and all the NM dealers are $2000 to $4000 over MSRP on the Ultra and nobody had that color combo. I bought my '92 FLHS there also and for MSRP at a time when I turned down $1500 over MSRP even before the bike was delivered. Tim and Stephanie are just great people and to quote Tim from '92 on not inflating bike prices: "I'm in business for the long term, not just today".
I second Dougs Harley Davidson. I'm buying my third bike from them Wednesday. MSRP 07 SG. 19,500 Out the Door. They've been MSRP for years even when everyone was jacking the price up 3-4 grand.
Travelling back from Florida we camped at the KOA just down from Dougs in Florence. We drove over there and was impressed with the dealership and folks. I'd give them a shot.
