Arrow Handlebar changeout...need grip help

I am changing my bars from OEM to Heritage style and am installing the Dual Star heated grip kit. I need to reuse the throttle "sleeve" to work with the fly by wire and install the kit on....which leads to my question.
What type / diameter throttle grip do I need that will fit over the sleeve?
The Heritage Style Bars are 1" bars.
Can't go with full replacement grips that already have the sleeve in, because I need to install the kit over the sleeve and then put grip on over....
I am thinking a 1 1/8 grip may work, but I would like some input.
Thanks.

Here is the kit link if it helps to look at it.

PM Dawg..I think he did a grip change using the stock plastic sleeve.

And I am sure he will be glad to help you out.

My riding buddy just did this very same thing. Private message "Rustell" that's his screen name and he can tell you all about it.

Glad to meet you Tim....We'll all have to get together sometime...
Rusty has been VERY helpful, but I am just looking for the right info concerning the grips. I don't want to end up buying 1, 2 or 3 sets before I get it right. I am after all, taking this approach to get good quality at a good price.....I hope.
