HK wiring - 07 FLHTP...
Is the wiring all in place in Police Electra Glides for the HK stereo? Is the head unit a "plug and play" type of installation or do I need a wiring harness for the head (I know the switch harness comes with the switch)? Are there speakers in the fairing? I'm buying the bike long distance and can't look for myself. Thanks

No, the wiring necessary for installing the HK head unit is not on the police bike. The HK harness is part of the civilian bike's "interconnect harness;" and, the interconnect harness on the police model is different and does not include that HK connector (Base Radio Connector), oil pressure and air temp connectors, audio connector, among other differences.
The handlebar switch harnesses connect to the interconnect harness; so the police interconnect harness has no provision for the audio controls found on the civilian EG's.
It's not difficult to replace the interconnect harness on the police bike with the civilian version since the main wiring harness that it connects to is the same on both bikes.
